IECC 09 Workshops
Are you ready builders? The new International Energy Conservation Code (IECC 09) will begin enforcing higher energy efficiency standards for new construction starting in the end of September 2010. It is estimated that houses built under IECC09 standards will be 10 to15 percent more efficient than homes built under the current code.
One of the major challenges anticipated to be met by builders will be maintaining compliance with the mandatory house infiltrations and ductwork leakage limits.
SENCON has been helping builders incorporate energy efficiency into the homes they have built for the last several years, and now, more than ever, we would like to assist your company in the process of getting up to speed and building homes that will comply with IECC09.
SENCON has been holding monthly workshops in our training room and in coordination with local trade organizations. To make sure your company doesn’t fall behind in the current competitive housing market, be sure to attend one of our scheduled events where we will discuss these mandatory updates, as well as the best way for your company to achieve the new levels of energy efficiency in the homes you build. Attendees will have the opportunity to receive free technical advice following each workshop. The cost for each workshop is $45.
